Time allowed for a ball search is three minutes so check the time that a search begins!

• No penalty if you accidentally move your ball while searching, replace it on its original spot which if not known must be estimated
• You may go back and play a provisional ball anytime during this three minute period while others continue to search for your ball
• Play first yourself before helping another player to search for a ball to speed up play
