Bearna Golf Club – Spring League 2023

1. The competition runs from Sun 5th Feb to Saturday 11th March

● Wk 1 - Sun 5^th Feb 2023 to Sat 11^th Feb 2023 (inclusive)

● Wk 2 - Sun 12^th Feb 2023 to Sat 18^th Feb 2023 (inclusive)

● Wk 3 - Sun 19^th Feb 2023 to Sat 25^th Feb 2023 (inclusive)

● Wk 4 - Sun 26^th Feb 2023 to Sat 4^th Mar 2023 (inclusive)

● Wk 5 - Sun 5^th Mar 2023 to Sat 11^th Mar 2023 (inclusive)

2. The best card returned by each individual within the week will count towards the team score. Re-entry is allowed but a player may only enter a maximum of 3 times in one week.

3. The 3 best cards from each team over the week count towards the team score for that week.

4. For each team the best 4 weeks scores out of the 5 weeks will count towards their total score.

5. Bonus points will be awarded to each team for each of the 5 competition weeks based on the number of players who have submitted a scorecard during that week.

For teams of 7 players a maximum of 6 bonus points can be earned per week. For teams of 6 players a maximum of 6 bonus points can be earned per week.

6. You must fill out separate cards if you are playing in the men’s/ladies weekly competition at the same time as the Spring league.

7. You must enter in the ‘Spring League’ Competition on the computer or on your phone app before starting each round and check the noticeboard for conditions of play and any local rules.

8. A once off €20 entry fee will be deducted from your account. Please ensure there are sufficient funds in your account before the competition starts.

9. Use 9 hole scorecards and play off your 9-hole course handicap, which will be visible when you sign-in on the computer or on your phone.

10. All cards must be marked ‘Spring League’ - dated, signed by player and marker and include team name and competition week number.

11. Please place completed scorecards in men’s scorecard box.

12. Any holes under repair or with shortened tee boxes are played as they are on the day.

13. Results will be posted weekly.

14. A person must have submitted cards in 3 different weeks in order to be eligible to win a prize.

15. Prizes will be awarded for the 3 best teams. Prizes for best individual man & best individual lady will also be awarded - 4 weekly scores to count.

16. In the event of a tie, the winners will be decided by the highest non-counting weekly score.
