Bearna Golf Club – Spring League 2024

1. The competition runs from Sun 11th Feb to Saturday 16th Mar

● Wk 1 - Sun 11^th Feb 2024 to Sat 17^th Feb 2024 (inclusive)

● Wk 2 - Sun 18^th Feb 2024 to Sat 24^th Feb 2024 (inclusive)

● Wk 3 - Sun 25^th Feb 2024 to Sat 2^nd Mar 2024 (inclusive)

● Wk 4 - Sun 3^rd Mar 2024 to Sat 9^th Mar 2024 (inclusive)

● Wk 5 - Sun 10^th Mar 2024 to Sat 16^th Mar 2024 (inclusive)

2. The best card returned by each individual within the week will count towards the team score. Re-entry is allowed but a player may only enter a maximum of 3 times in one week.

3. The 4 best cards from each team over the week count towards the team score for that week.

4. For each team the best 4 weeks scores out of the 5 will count towards their overall total score.

5. Bonus points will be awarded to each team for each of the 5 competition weeks based on the number of players who have submitted a scorecard during that week.

For teams of 8 players a maximum of 7 bonus points can be earned per week. For teams of 7 players a maximum of 7 bonus points can be earned per week.

6. You must fill out separate cards if you are playing in the men’s/ladies’ weekly competition at the same time as the Spring league.

7. Ladies will play off their full front nine course handicap and Men will play off 85% of their front nine course handicap.

8. You must enter in the ‘Spring League’ Competition on the computer or on your phone app before starting each round and check the noticeboard for conditions of play and any local rules.

9. A once off €20 entry fee will be deducted from your account. Please ensure there are sufficient funds in your account before the competition starts.

10. You must use the 9 hole scorecard to record your scores. Please ensure that you attach the printed label to the correct side of the scorecard. The label will show your playing handicap for course in play on the day.

11. All cards must be marked ‘Spring League’ - dated, signed by player and marker and include team name and competition week number.

12. Please place completed scorecards in men’s scorecard box.

13. Any holes under repair or with shortened tee boxes are played as they are on the day.

14. Results will be posted weekly.

15. A person must have submitted cards in 3 different weeks in order to be eligible to win a prize.

16. Prizes will be awarded for the 3 best teams. Prizes for best individual man & best individual lady will also be awarded - 4 weekly scores to count.

17. In the event of a tie, the winners will be decided by the highest non-counting weekly score.
